FOURIER TRANSFORMS AND COMPLEX VARIABLES

Engs 92 is a senior-graduate course in mathematical methods important for engineering and physical sciences: Fourier transform, discrete Fourier transform, Laplace and Z transforms; generalized functions; convolution; complex variable theory and contour integration. Applications include linear systems, signals, and waves.

You should take Engs 92 if you are an aspiring EE or if you are an entering graduate student in engineering or physics who does not feel prepared to take Engs/Phys 100.

The prerequisite for Engs 92 is a course in systems (Engs 22) or mathematical physics (Math 33). This course can be used to satisfy graduate degree requirements. It is cross-listed as Phys 70.

Offered: 09F, 10F: 2
