Academic & Student Affairs
Dartmouth Engineering's Academic and Student Affairs team enables and advocates for the academic and personal success of each engineering student from the time they first consider applying to Dartmouth or Thayer School of Engineering all the way through the time they walk across the stage at Commencement.
Advancement & Alumni Relations
Dartmouth Engineering's Advancement & Alumni Relations team is committed to building lifelong partnerships with engineering alumni, family, and friends to provide meaningful opportunities for philanthropic support for engineering's critical needs. We seek to facilities engineering alumni's connection to both Dartmouth and each other.
Career Services
Dartmouth provides a dedicated Engineering Career Services Office just for engineering students. That's in addition to the Center for Professional Development open to all undergraduates, as well as the Graduate Office of Career Services for Dartmouth graduate students and alumni.
Communications & Creative Services
The Office of Communications and Creative Services is Dartmouth Engineering's brand champion and chief storyteller—helping promote our people, programs, research, innovations through a variety of platforms. In addition, the office provides creative services to engineering faculty and staff, including media relations, web, photography, video, and graphic design.
Computing Services
Thayer School Computing Services supports all computing and information technology (IT) needs of the Dartmouth Engineering community, including faculty, staff, graduate students, and undergraduates. We are your first point of contact for all Thayer related information technology needs.
Dean's Office
Dartmouth Engineering's Office of the Dean facilitates school-wide planning efforts, oversees the effective use of resources and the continuous improvement of operations, and helps shape, lead and implement programs and initiatives that operationalize the strategic priorities of the School.
Facilities, Planning, & Operations
The Facilities Planning and Operations team coordinates the construction, maintenance, safety, emergency preparedness, and custodial services of engineering facilities, which total approximately 160,000 square feet of combined space in Cummings Hall and MacLean Engineering Sciences Center (ESC).
Faculty Support
Academic Coordinators and Academic Assistant provide ongoing support for engineering faculty and for the senior leadership team. In addition to providing clerical, programmatic, and other support, the staff also helps coordinate faculty candidate interviews and ongoing engineering events.
Feldberg Business & Engineering Library
The Feldberg Business-Engineering Library serves the faculty, students, and staff of the Tuck School of Business, the Thayer School of Engineering, and Dartmouth College. The library, provides engineering references and consultation as well research and academic support fo engineering students, researchers, and faculty.
Finance Office
Dartmouth Engineering's Finance Office is responsible for managing engineering financial resources and for providing oversight of the daily and long-term financial planning and analysis for the School. The office also serves as the fiscal liaison to the faculty and directors of all engineering units, and to the Dartmouth Budget Office and other divisional units.
Human Resources
Human Resources serves Thayer School's faculty, staff and student employees in a variety of ways—from recruitment and professional development to labor relations. We support employees and managers in addressing complex workplace problems—whether matters of structure and organization or interpersonal.
Instructional Labs & Workshops
The instructional labs and workshops, and their staff, support Thayer's laboratory, and project-based curriculum to expose students to hands-on experiences and open-ended, real-world engineering project, as well as provide support for faculty and students involved in designing and fabrication projects for research.
Research Administration
Department Research Administrators (DRAs) provide budget development and comprehensive support for all administrative requirements related to proposal submission to both federal and non-federal sponsors. DRAs also provide award management via financial analysis, reporting, and spending projections for faculty and principal investigators.
Research Labs
Dartmouth Engineering's single integrated department of engineering sciences is housed in a facility that fosters innovation, community, and student-faculty interaction. Led by faculty, cross-disciplinary collaboration and ground-breaking research takes place in our labs.
