Finance Office

The Finance Office at Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth is responsible for managing Thayer’s financial resources and for providing oversight of the daily and long-term financial planning and analysis for the School. The office also serves as the fiscal liaison to the faculty and directors of all Thayer units, and to the Dartmouth College Budget Office and other divisional units.

Services

  • Develops multi-year budget plans and projections that ensure Thayer can effectively implement its strategic and business plans
  • Maintains oversight of Chart String row-level security
  • Performs customized financial analyses, financial models, and cost feasibility studies to facilitate decision-making and planning
  • Provides guidance to Thayer’s administrative units through: 1) preparing annual budget requests and budget revisions; 2) interpreting College policies; 3) managing costs and leveraging resources to fulfill strategic goals; and 4) ensuring responsible financial stewardship.
