12:00pm - 1:00pm ET
Moore Lawn Tent
Professors Rafe Steinhauer and Eugene Korsunskiy, in partnership with DCAL, present this session for instructors at Dartmouth interested in how design-focused activities and projects can be added to any course to deepen student learning and engagement. This session will cover examples of how design experiences can be used across a range of disciplines (including humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering).
Through facilitated (and fun) activities, participants will also begin brainstorming how they might craft engaging student design experiences into existing courses.
After the workshop, all participants (as well as those who cannot attend) will be invited to apply for small grant opportunities to deepen any course’s learning objectives with design activities or projects!
No prior experience is necessary, and Dartmouth instructors from all disciplines are encouraged to attend.
This session will be held in person.
Virtual session option also available.
This event is presented and co-sponsored by the Design Initiative at Dartmouth (DIAD).
