About the Speaker(s)
Alexis Abramson
Dean of Engineering, Dartmouth
A mechanical engineer and a leader in the field of sustainable energy, Dean Abramson's research has focused on developing nanomaterials for alternative energy technologies and solving energy efficiency problems. She is co-founder of a virtual energy audit start-up, Edifice Analytics. During the Obama administration, she served as chief scientist and manager of the Emerging Technologies Division at the Department of Energy's Building Technologies Office. And she serves as a technical advisor for various venture firms investing in companies developing solutions to mitigate climate change.
