Before becoming CEO of IDEX in 2011 and Chairman in 2012, Andy was Vice President, Group Executive, responsible for multiple operating segments within IDEX. Prior to that, Andy held leadership roles at Rexnord Industries, Newell Rubbermaid and Danaher Corporation. He began his career as an equity research associate for Fidelity Investments. For 2011 Andy was named by Forbes Magazine and msn.com as "One of the 10 Most Powerful CEOs 40 and under" and named The Distinguished American by the Maine chapter of the National Football Foundation in 2014.

He is a Director of Stryker Corporation and MacLean-Fogg Company, a Trustee for the Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation, and a former National Trustee for the Boys & Girls Club of America. Andy is also a member of the 2012 Class of Henry Crown Fellows at the Aspen Institute and the Young Presidents’ Organization and serves as a Director for the Harvard Business School Alumni Board. He received a AB in government from Dartmouth in 1994 and his MBA from Harvard Business School. Originally from Bucksport, Maine, Andy now lives in Lake Forest, IL with his wife, Shelby, and three children, Koster, Spencer, and Alyssa.
