Andy is chairman of the board, president, and chief executive officer of IDEX Corporation. He was appointed CEO in August 2011 and chairman in January 2012. During his tenure as CEO, total shareholder return has grown by more than 450 percent, and, as importantly, employee engagement has increased significantly, placing the company near the top of the manufacturing sector. Andy joined IDEX in January 2009 as vice president and group executive for the company’s growing Health & Science Technologies businesses.

Before joining IDEX, he held executive positions of increasing responsibility at Rexnord Industries, Newell Rubbermaid, and Danaher Corporation. Andy began his career as an equity research associate for Fidelity Investments.

Andy serves on the board of directors of Stryker Corporation and is a trustee for the Manufacturers Alliance for Productivity and Innovation. He has been named one of the most powerful CEOs 40 and under by Fortune Magazine and one of the top CEOs in America by Institutional Investor Magazine.

A strong believer in serving the communities in which we live and work, Andy serves as a director for the Boys & Girls Club of Lake County, Illinois, and, within IDEX, has worked hard to establish and grow the IDEX Foundation, the company’s charitable giving entity.

Andy previously served as a national trustee for The Boys & Girls Club of America and on the advisory board for Harvard Business School. He received a bachelor’s degree in Government from Dartmouth and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Andy is also a member of the 2012 Class of Henry Crown Fellows at the Aspen Institute.

Andy and his wife live in the northern Chicago suburbs with their three children.
