Design Corps Teams Tackle Dartmouth Projects
Mar 20, 2024 | Dartmouth News
Design Corps, a program of the Design Initiative at Dartmouth (DIAD), has teams of students work with groups or departments around campus with challenges they may face. Recent projects at DIAD, which was founded by Thayer School of Engineering, included helping the Hood Museum of Art and the Hopkins Center for the Arts increase student engagement.
Using human-centered design, the students get practice solving real-world problems, and they can also have the satisfaction of making Dartmouth a better place.
"Students have a real client, they have a real user group, and they have to come up with a deliverable...The result is real impact improving some actual experience or program or system on campus."
DIAD Co-Director & Associate Professor of Engineering Eugene Korsunskiy
