Ulf Österberg

Professor of Engineering

Director, Instructional Labs

Overview

Ulf Österberg was born and educated in Sweden. He held postdoctoral fellowships in the United States in the field of nonlinear optics in glasses for the purpose of high bandwidth data transmission in optical fibers. His later research focused on ultrafast and THz spectroscopy in condensed matter. Throughout his career, Österberg has been deeply involved with teaching pedagogy and novel forms of classroom instruction.
