MEng Program Plan

You will work with graduate advisors to develop a full program plan to fulfill the MEng degree requirements.

The MEng program of study is designed to prepare students for a professional engineering career by providing both foundational knowledge and specialized expertise in their chosen track.

Resources for Your Plan

Helpful information to begin your plan:

Create Your Plan

  1. Log in to DartHub.
  2. Click on All Tiles and then the Course Program Plan tile.
  3. Select Master of Engineering Program Plan, which leads to the form pictured below.
  4. Fill in with the correct information. Notes:
    1. If you are double-counting courses between the BE and MEng, indicate those courses with an asterisk (*), for example, ENGS 174*.
    2. If your plan spans more than three terms, indicate the term next to each course in the scheduling section, for example, ENGS 174–23F.
  5. Click Continue to generate a PDF.
  6. Sign your program plan.
  7. Email your plan to Graduate Academic Advising Director Liz Lerret for initial approval. (After review, Liz will forward your plan to the MEng director for final approval.)
  8. Once approved by the MEng director, email it to Liz Lerret.

If you deviate from your program plan (which is fine), log in to DartHub to amend your plan, updating any courses that have changed. Generate a new PDF, sign it and send to Liz Lerret for review and approval, following steps five and six above.

Potential reasons for needing a new program plan:

  • Class schedule changes or conflicts.
  • You change your mind about a course or want to try something else.
  • You receive a second LP grade (you may only submit one LP to earn the MEng degree).
