ENGS 76: Machine Engineering Project Demos
Nov
18
Tuesday
10:00am - 12:00pm ET
ECSC Atrium
Come support student teams (bot squads) as they showcase their joystick-controlled bridge-building machines! Their creations will attempt to pick-up, manipulate and accurately position building materials (blocks and plates) to collaboratively construct a bridge spanning a 34" gap.
The primary objective is to construct a flat bridge across the trench so that Professor Halter can drive a small RC excavator from side A to side B. The secondary objectives are to build the bridge as fast as possible, minimize the weight of the bridge building bot, and keep the road crew members safe.
Points are given for successfully placing each of the bridge elements and collecting the cones, and are deducted for any road crew members or opposing team's cones knocked over.
