ENGG 415: Distributed Computing Final Project Demos
Mar
13
Thursday
2:00pm - 3:00pm ET
Rm 016, Cummings Hall

Watch our online MEng students test out their Go programming code to enable four robots to fully map an unknown maze!
The robots—designed and built by a team of undergrads, Chris Magoon, and Professor Mike Kokko—communicate over wifi with a dedicated Raspberry Pi computer (one computer for each robot).
ENGG 415 students write code in the Go programming language that runs on each computer. Students will access the "maze cluster" remotely and interact during the demo via Zoom.
All four robots need to communicate with each other to share information they observe (i.e. wall locations) and be robust to server failures (i.e. robot stops working and restarts).
All are welcome!
