Bias in Algorithms Panel Discussion
Aug
01
Tuesday
3:30pm - 5:00pm ET
Baker-Berry Library/Online
From search engines to asking for directions via an app, our everyday lives are impacted by the algorithms used to make these services work for us. But what happens when those algorithms are created with inherent bias?
Join the Dartmouth Library for a discussion with faculty, graduate students, and library staff about how these biases impact how we interact with and produce information and learn ways to mitigate their effects.
Join in-person in Jones Media Center's Innovation Studio with a reception and snacks to follow, or attend on Zoom!
