"Reframing the Debate on Africa's Energy Future"

Mutiso is being recognized for her extraordinary activism and research at the intersection of science, policy, gender equity, and international development.
A native of Kenya, Mutiso majored in engineering at Dartmouth, and her professional research explores sustainable energy and innovation policy issues. She is currently research director at the thinktank Energy for Growth Hub. She also co-founded the Mawazo Institute, a women-led organization based in Nairobi that supports early career female scholars and thought leaders in Africa.
