Training Engineers in the Energy Field
Dartmouth Engineering welcomes PhD candidates interested in the energy field as GAANN fellowship applicants. In addition to full benefits of the human-centered, entrepreneurial, and interdisciplinary engineering PhD program, Dartmouth GAANN fellows will receive specific training targeting research and teaching in energy engineering, in collaboration with The Arthur L. Irving Institute for Energy & Society.
To be eligible, students must:
- be a US citizen or permanent resident
- be already enrolled or admitted to the Dartmouth Engineering PhD program
- be in financial need as determined by federal guidelines established by the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) — The fellowship will support the student's stipend and tuition.
- plan to pursue a career in research and/or teaching in energy engineering.
- show excellent academic records.
Applicants to the PhD degree program who meet the above criteria will be automatically considered.
