Community Success Grants

Dartmouth Engineering's Community Success Grants allow graduate students to design and lead educational programming that fosters success through diversity and inclusion among their graduate peers. Grant recipients will use the funding to create a one-time educational initiative to raise awareness and spark meaningful conversations or activities around diversity and inclusion within the Thayer graduate student community.

Application Period

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and are accepted as limited funding allows.

Application Materials

Email a document complete with the following information to simge.engelkiran@dartmouth.edu:

  1. Project Proposal (approx. 300 words)

    • Title
    • Goal: A concise overview of the purpose/ goal(s) of your project.
    • Objectives: Actions you plan to take to achieve this goal.
       
  2. Projected Budget (up to $500)

    Provide a detailed list of anticipated expenses, such as materials, refreshments, and any other relevant items. 

    Alcohol is not an allowable expense and cannot be included in the budget request.

    For proposals exceeding $500, please email simge.engelkiran@dartmouth.edu to discuss your ideas before submitting a formal proposal. 

  3. Timeline

    Outline a schedule highlighting key milestones, including planning, promotion, event dates, and wrap-up/ reporting.

  4. Personal Statement (optional, approx. 150 words)

    Share your personal motivation for undertaking this project and how it relates to your commitment to diversity and inclusion.
