ENGG 390 Grading

The course instructor determines a student's grade based upon:

  • Input from the sponsor and faculty advisor on the quality of work performed
  • Quality of use of engineering problem-solving method
  • Management of the project to a successful end
  • Quality of reports and presentations

Faculty and a group of professionals from industry will serve as a review board for the student's proposal and final presentation. Their input will also contribute to a student's grade.

The basic passing grade is "P". In order to deserve an "HP" the work must have some remarkable or outstanding aspects that the instructor can clearly identify.

Evaluation sheets used by review board members at oral presentations can be found under Important Documents.
