Tiny 'flying whale' robot could swim through the body to deliver drugs

May 20, 2019   |   The Telegraph

"Scientists are developing a tiny "flying whale" robot capable of swimming through the body to deliver drugs directly to cancer cells," writes The Telegraph.

"The transformable robot, which being developed by scientists at Dartmouth and the City University of Hong Kong, is part of a long-term study aimed at developing robots that are able to respond to heat and light.

"This particular soft, 3D-printed device is shaped like a plane while in ‘flight’, but can shift its shape to mimic the flukes of a whale’s tail as it passes through the body."
