Three Engineering Professors Selected for SYNERGY Translational Pilot Awards

Congratulations to the 2015 SYNERGY Translational Pilot Grant awardees. Following a review of 59 letters of intent, SYNERGY invited 24 full applications from which eight awardees were selected. Aligning with SYNERGY’s mission of fostering collaborative interactions between basic, translational, and health services researchers, the awardees come from diverse Dartmouth schools and departments, including three from Thayer School:

  • Jane E. Hill, PhD (PI, Engineering/Thayer) and Alix Ashare, MD, PhD (Co-PI, Medicine) – Biomarker Discovery and Validation for Lung Infection in CF patients
  • Stephen C. Kanick, PhD (PI, Engineering/Thayer) and David W. Roberts, MD (Co-PI, Neurosurgery) – Multiplexed Quantitative Assessment of Fluorescence Guided Neurosurgery
  • Douglas W. Van Citters, PhD (PI, Engineering/Thayer) and Wayne E. Moschetti, MD (Co-PI, Orthopaedic Surgery) – Accelerometer Capture of Knee Motion for Physical Therapy Prescription
