Aug 01, 2018   |   San Francisco Business Times

"Growing Alector LLC raised $133 million — one of the largest, if not the biggest, venture rounds in biotech this year — that signals its intent to go public as it follows a different path for tackling Alzheimer's disease," writes the San Francisco Business Times.

..."The company was started five years ago by CEO Arnon Rosenthal, who started Rinat Neuroscience before Pfizer Inc. (NYSE: PFE) bought it in 2006, as well as Dartmouth engineering professor and serial entrepreneur Tillman Gerngross, Columbia University neurology professor Asa Abeliovich and Adimab cofounder Errik Anderson."
