Gov. Maggie Hassan is attending a hybrid race car competition at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

The Formula Hybrid Competition is founded and run by the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth.

Hassan is stopping by the track on Tuesday morning.

This year, 20 teams are registered for the event, which runs through Thursday.

The competition inspires budding engineers to think innovatively—and sustainably—as they tackle high-power electronics, hybrid drivetrain design, and restrictions on fuel efficiency.
