Dartmouth Receives $10 Million for Engineering-Computer Science

Nov 01, 2018   |   Philanthropy News Digest

"Dartmouth has announced a $10 million gift from alumnus Scott Stuart ('81) and his wife, Lisa, in support of its efforts to strengthen design capabilities at the intersection of engineering and computer science," writes PND.

"The gift will help fund construction of a 160,000-square-foot engineering-computer science building that will reshape how the school delivers technology education by clustering engineering and computer science into thematic 'neighborhoods' focused on areas such as biotechnology, advanced materials, machine learning, security and privacy, robotics, and design. When completed, the facility also will house the Magnuson Family Center for Entrepreneurship and Dartmouth's electron microscope center."
