"Alexis Abramson wants to see the culture at Dartmouth’s Thayer School of Engineering continue to reach out to the wider world," writes the NH Union Leader.

"'Dartmouth and Thayer have unique cultures, and I want to maintain that,' she said.

"Abramson, a mechanical engineer and a leader in sustainable energy technology, took the helm at the engineering school last week, and Dartmouth is set to undergo major changes.

"Abramson comes to dean’s position from Case Western University, where she served as Professor of Energy Innovation at and co-director of the university’s Great Lakes Energy Institute."
