Biography:
Greg co-leads Health Advances' Health IT and Digital Health practice, building upon fifteen years of experience in strategy, management consulting, marketing, operations, and technology leadership.

A computer engineer and manager by training, Greg's career has included technical software development and product management; strategic growth consulting to the Fortune 500; product management; B2B marketing and communications; and senior operations leadership.

Prior to Health Advances, Greg held multiple senior executive roles at Arcadia.io, a leader in population health analytics and EHR data integrations serving health systems, accountable care organizations, and health plans nationwide. Greg founded and ran a strategic marketing team after an initial round of growth equity and drove company-wide business planning, performance improvement and measurement programs as the strategic operations leader. Earlier in his tenure, he was the product director for the core analytics platform and a principal consultant in Arcadia's legacy consulting business. While at Arcadia, Greg also served as a subject matter expert to the Office of the National Coordinator for HIT on health information exchange (HIE) under the federal HIE, Regional Extension Center, and Beacon Community grant programs.

Greg began his career as a case team leader and technical project manager at Monitor Group (now part of Deloitte), serving clients in the biopharma, high tech, and government sectors.

Biography:
Drew Matter serves as Vice President for Mikros Technologies, a local designer and manufacturer of high-performance microchannel liquid cooling systems for supercomputers, AI processors, lasers and other high-power systems that shape our future. Drew oversees the efficient development of new designs and the application of Mikros' core thermal management and micromachining technologies in emerging fields. He also syncs Mikros' design efforts with the evolving needs of clients to ensure that Mikros excels as a strong development partner with large scale computing companies.

Drew began his engineering career at NASA-Johnson Space Center, where he developed tooling for spacewalks still in use on board the International Space Station. Prior to Mikros, Drew worked as one of the first employees at FreshAir Sensor, a Dartmouth-based startup developing novel air quality sensors, coordinating the development of FreshAir's first sellable product. Drew lives in Hanover with his wife Susie and three children and serves on the board of the Friends of Hanover-Norwich Schools.

Drew holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Divinity Degree from Westminster Theological Seminary. He received his Dartmouth MEM in 2015.

Biography:
Mark Allen is the senior director of programs and engineering for Viant Medical, an ISO-certified medical device contract manufacturer specializing in single-use medical components and medical devices. Viant Medical has a global footprint with 25 facilities with capabilities in metal processes, injection molding, product assembly and product design.

Mark's responsibilities include:

• new product introduction for domestic and international manufacturing locations;
• executing the operational excellence strategy for a business unit of Viant Medical;
• profits and losses for engineering services related to designing, building and strategically sourcing injection molding tools used at Viant Medical manufacturing locations.

Mark has over 16 years of experience in the medical device industry. Prior to his role at Viant Medical, Mark served as director of operations for AlloSource, managing the operations for bone and soft tissue allografts for use in surgical procedures. Mark was also the director of corporate engineering for Medtronic, managing large-scale capital investment projects for the operations side of the organization. He also worked in operations for Dell Computer Corporate, Celestica, and Terumo BCT.

Mark holds a BS in mechanical engineering and an MS in applied mathematics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Biography:
Rebecca is a manager of US market fundamentals at National Grid, a leading natural gas and electric utility in the northeast US and the United Kingdom. In her role, Rebecca provides internal expertise on developments in the wholesale energy markets throughout the regulated and competitive US businesses. Her insights are used to advise long-term strategic decisions as well as short-term investment opportunities.

Before National Grid, Rebecca spent a decade in energy consulting with The Brattle Group and Charles River Associates. She provided support to utilities, independent power producers, and state/federal regulators in decisions related to wholesale and retail energy markets. She specialized in electricity market modeling and the effect of renewables integration on ancillary service markets.

Rebecca holds an MEM from Dartmouth and a BS in operations research and information engineering from Cornell.

Biography:
Maya Davis is the manager of project steering at Scout Motors where she is responsible for coordinating and steering the purchasing and supply chain department to achieve project milestones and deliverables.

With her background in engineering development, continuous improvement, and Six Sigma Lean Quality Management, she focuses on customer specific design needs to foster innovation and prioritize sustainability. Throughout her career, Maya has been responsible for maintaining the quality, effectiveness, and integrity of vehicles and the supply chain.

Prior to her role at Scout Motors, Maya worked with Tesla Motors managing supplier industrialization, Rolls Royce Motor Cars developing the Cullinan and Phantom, BMW AG on the i3 and i8 vehicle release, BMW US producing X vehicles, and Harley Davidson on sustainable electrification initiatives.

Maya received her AB/BE and MEM degrees from Dartmouth. At Thayer, Maya revived the National Society for Black Engineers (NSBE) as president from 2012 to 2013, was elected as Thayer Graduate Student Council representative in 2015, and served on the Thayer Dean's Council from 2017 to 2020. She was a member of the Executive Board for the Professional NSBE Chapter in upstate South Carolina and is currently active with NSBE Professionals DC. Ross Gortner Th'03 Th'04 is a former longtime associate director of Dartmouth's MEM program, whose service and leadership have been instrumental to the program's growth and direction. He served in the role from 2007 to 2020, during which he helped initiate or advance many of the MEM's core programs, including ENGG 390 internships and CCC mentoring programs, and provided counsel to Thayer's dean and MEM leadership. In addition, Ross served as a lecturer for a course in technology assessment.

Prior to serving with the MEM program, Ross worked in a variety of roles as a mechanical engineer and consultant for transportation modeling, energy, and environmental engineering companies in the Upper Valley and greater Boston.

Ross earned his BA in physics from Skidmore before earning his BE and MEM degrees from Dartmouth.

Biography:
Chris joined Google in late 2019, where he leads the data and operations functions for the Risk and Compliance Engineering organization. Chris is responsible for designing and developing the platforms, processes, and analytics required to enable data-driven risk management and compliance across the company. Prior to Google, Chris served as a Vice President and Senior Engineer at Goldman, Sachs & Co., most recently as the lead of the data science, data modeling, risk measurement, and reporting teams for Operational Risk within the firm's Risk Division.

Following an internship in the summer of 2005, Chris started at Goldman, Sachs & Co as a new analyst within the Technology Division. After serving on a rotation of technical roles in order to build a foundational knowledge of the organization's technology operations, Chris led a team of business analysts to optimize and automate its business processes, applying operations management principles to implement facilitating inventory, capacity planning, service and product catalogs, and automated fulfillment systems. In 2013, Chris transitioned into the firm's Information Security and Technology Risk organization, where he built out and managed a global data analytics team focused on the identification, quantification, and visualization of technology risk across the firm, serving both Technology Risk’s programs and their community of technology and business users.

Biography:
Dana is VP of product and energy markets at Voltus, a leading provider of demand response and energy management solutions focused on helping customers find double bottom line opportunities by using less energy to save money.

Before Voltus, Dana led corporate development and go-to-market strategies at Ambri, an MIT spinout company commercializing batteries for large-scale energy storage on the electric grid. Prior to that she was the director of energy markets at EnerNOC, where she led the team responsible for the profitable management of the company's global demand response energy portfolio management and day-to-day energy market execution.

Dana grew up in NY City and holds an MEM, a BE in mechanical engineering, and an AB from Dartmouth. At Thayer, she was one of first members of the Formula Hybrid student team, which is now fully integrated with Dartmouth Formula Racing.

Biography:
Bill graduated from Dartmouth with an AB in engineering sciences in 1971 and a BE in metallurgy in 1972.

After graduation, Bill went to work for General Electric Aircraft Engines on the Operations Leadership Program, then progressed through a number of management positions leading manufacturing and aftermarket services.

Bill then moved to Textron Lycoming Turbine Engines, where he started up the Commercial Engine Overhaul business, and then led the Turbine Services Group. In 1994 Textron sold Lycoming to AlliedSignal (now Honeywell) where Bill led overhaul services in Europe, and then commercial aviation overhaul for all aerospace products worldwide.

In 2000, Bill moved to New Zealand as CEO of Ansett Australia & Air New Zealand Engineering Services, Ltd a newly formed standalone subsidiary of both airlines providing engineering and maintenance for the 100 aircraft fleet. In 2001, Bill became senior VP of airline operations, responsible for all airline operations and technical functions.

After returning to the US, Bill became engaged as president and CEO of Allied Aerospace Industries, a private equity owned company in Virginia providing engineering services and prototype development for aerospace, NASA and US military customers. After rebuilding the company, it was sold to the Triumph Group and renamed Triumph Aerospace Systems—Newport News. Bill remained with the company as president to complete the integration.

Subsequently, Bill has served on the board of directors and as acting CEO of Orbital Energy Services, a private equity portfolio company. Orbital is an independent provider of specialty machining, welding, parts manufacturing and steam turbine repair.

Currently, Bill is managing partner of Ranger Partners, LLC. Ranger Partners is a business advisory, merger/acquisition integration, organizational development and value enhancement company with a proven track record of positively transforming businesses and growing enterprise value.

Biography:
Andrew has over 20 years of experience in venture capital, strategy consulting, corporate innovation, and corporate business development (partnering, business plan development, M&A diligence). Andrew is currently working with Accenture Bloom, the incubations practice of Accenture focused on helping Fortune 500 companies to conceive, launch, and scale new ventures that respond to digital disruption. Within Accenture Bloom, Andrew leads Bloom Capital, a program focused on expanding Accenture's and Accenture's clients' access to capital and expertise to assist with the launch of Fortune 500 incubated new ventures.

Previously, Andrew worked for ten years at GE where he helped establish the venture capital team focused on energy within GE Capital Energy Financial Services. At GE Andrew also helped found and operate a $300MM VC fund called Energy Technology Ventures with GE, ConocoPhillips, and NRG, and helped create and operate GE Ventures, GE's corporate innovation practice. At GE, Andrew also led a $100MM open innovation investment and partnering program focused on the smart grid called the ecomagination Innovation Challenge. GE Energy Financial Services was named Investor of the Year in 2011 and the most active corporate partner in the years of 2008 through 2013 by the CleanTech Group, and GE Ventures was named Unit of the Year in 2016 by Global Corporate Venturing.

Prior to GE, Andrew worked at Columbia Capital, a private VC firm with over $3.5B of assets under management. He also worked as a strategy consultant for venture capital-backed companies and corporate venture capital programs at Fletcher Spaght in Boston. And as a product manager for a $60MM per year software product of MicroStrategy, a public business intelligence software company. Andrew has personally worked on the closing of over 100 VC financings. Andrew lives in Boston with his wife Karen and son Jackson.

Biography:
Duncan MacLean is the great-grandson of the founder of MacLean-Fogg and son of the current chairman, Barry MacLean. Duncan joined MacLean-Fogg in 1996 as a manufacturing engineer in MacLean Power Systems and rose to become the fourth CEO of the company in November 2017. He was elected to the MacLean-Fogg Board of Directors in 1998.

Since joining MacLean Fogg, Duncan has worked in seven different business units, including spending four and a half years living and working in Germany.

Duncan currently serves on several philanthropic boards, including at the Museum of Science and Industry, the Loomis Chaffee School (chairman), and the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics. Additionally, Duncan was named to the Board of National Association of Manufacturers in early 2018. In the past, Duncan served on the YPO Chicago Chapter Board (2014–2017).

Biography:
Gus is director, systems development, RF solutions at Maxar Technologies, a provider of space imagery and geospatial information to industry and governments worldwide. Gus joined Maxar in 2022 when Maxar acquired the company he co-founded, Aurora Insight Inc, to expand their capabilities and products related to wireless telecommunications and RF spectrum management. His past work experiences include Lockheed Martin, Logos Technologies Inc, and Ball Aerospace.

Gus was a member of the Dartmouth class of 1999 and completed his BE and MEM at Thayer in 2001. While at Thayer, Gus was a founding member of the DARTSAT student aerospace engineering project and interned at both Cessna Aircraft and Parsons Brinckerhoff.

Biography:
Sue Roberts is the senior director, sourcing, NA & EMEA at PMI Worldwide, LLC, making re-usable food storage and drinkware containers under the Stanley brand and for a large global coffee retailer. Based in the greater Seattle area, Sue leads a team of sourcing specialists in the US, focused on suppliers operating in North American, Europe and the Middle East. She and her team are actively engaged in building lasting partnerships with manufacturers in the region and ensuring continuity of supply.

Prior to working in reusable drinkware, Sue spent time working in the collectible toys industry and over 20 years working in athletic footwear in different capacities. Fresh out of Thayer, Sue joined Reebok after completing the MEM degree and deciding to enter a non-traditional engineering field that fit her athletic interests and background. She has held various research, product development, and advanced technology development roles at Reebok, New Balance, and Brooks. One of those positions was leading a product development team at a manufacturing facility while living in ShenZhen, China.

Sue participated in the Dual-Degree program between Colby College and Dartmouth, spending her junior year and a 5th year at Thayer. She earned a BA in physics from Colby College, and a BE and MEM from Thayer.

Biography:
Allison works at Radius Health as a senior director of capital, strategy, and transactions. She serves as the team lead for CST initiatives in business development, capital planning, business modeling, investor relations, and other strategic corporate projects. Allison has nine years of experience working in corporate and business development, operations, and project management.

Prior to Radius, Allison was a senior director of executive team strategy and operations at Intarcia Therapeutics. In this role, she was responsible for implementing strategic corporate imperatives and managing international alliance partnerships. She was on the deal team for company financings and contributed to the development of annual company strategy, budget, and long-range strategic planning. Allison joined Intarcia from Human Care Systems where she was director of project management and quality. Prior to Human Care Systems, Allison worked at Medtronic (formerly Covidien) holding increasing roles of responsibility within the operations organization. Most recently, she held the position of corporate engineering project manager and was responsible for managing capital investment projects at locations across Covidien's global manufacturing portfolio.

As a student at Thayer, Allison served as president of the MEM Council and as a 2012 Senior Class Marshal, and was recognized with the Caroline Henderson Prize. As an alumna, Allison has served as a member of the Dean's Council, volunteered as a class agent for the Thayer Annual Fund, and served as an alumni chair on the planning board for Thayer's 2017 alumni weekend.

Biography:
Stephanie Rudick is a Google strategy and operations head, focused on immersive computing (augmented and virtual reality). She partners with the product and engineering teams, using a data-driven approach to drive scalable and sustainable growth. Stephanie and her team are responsible for enabling strategic decision-making at the leadership level, facilitating annual planning and resource allocations, optimizing systems and processes, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and providing ad hoc business support.

Prior to joining the immersive computing team, Stephanie spent four years working in a similar capacity with the Google Cloud customer team, which works with schools, companies, and government agencies to make them more productive, mobile, and collaborative.

Prior to joining Google, Stephanie worked in corporate strategy for Merrill Lynch’s Global Wealth and Investment Management division, focused on optimizing pricing and driving advisor product adoption. She also worked in big data analytics consulting at Opera Solutions, with clients in a variety of functions and industries.

Stephanie earned her MEM degree from Dartmouth and her BS in computer engineering from Tufts.

Professional Title: Global Leader, Customer Success Group

Biography:
Shaliesh Chandra is a global leader in the customer success group at PagerDuty, where he focuses on strategy for the group, business value realization for customers, and deriving customer insights based on data analytics and AI. Shaliesh has 20+ years experience in high-tech. Most recently at Salesforce, as part of the business value team, he focused on identifying and quantifying the transformative value for large enterprise customers. Prior to Salesforce, Shailesh had multiple roles at Cisco, including senior director of strategy and transformation in the global partner organization. Prior to taking on this role, Shailesh led partnerships with key India-based partners. Other roles he has had at Cisco are senior director of business development and strategy of the software group, founder of the customer business transformation team in the collaboration group, and member of the strategy consulting team. Shailesh's other experience includes VP of US operations at Evidian-Groupe Bull, and member of the communication and information practice at Mercer Management Consulting/Oliver Wyman. Shailesh studied electrical engineering in India, and was a graduate of the first MEM class at Dartmouth.

Biography:
Richard Tabors is president of Tabors Caramanis Rudkevich Inc (TCR), an energy consulting firm focused on the electricity and natural gas sectors. He is also executive VP of NewGrid, a software group licensing transmission topology control systems to multiple participants in the power industry. Prior to starting TCR, Richard was VP of Charles River Associates (CRA). He founded the engineering economics consulting firm of Tabors Caramanis and Associates (TCA) to provide economic, regulatory, and financial analytic support to the restructuring of the US and international electric power industry. TCA was sold to CRA in 2004.

After graduating with an AB in biology from Dartmouth in 1965, he received an MS and PhD from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University in 1970 in geography and economics. From 1970 to 1976, Richard was a researcher and member of the faculty at Harvard. From 1976 to 2004, he was at MIT as a senior lecturer in technology management and policy and a research director in power systems. He is a visiting professor of electrical engineering at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, Scotland. His research and development activities have led to being author or co-author of nearly 100 articles and books, including "Spot Pricing of Electricity," on which the economic restructuring of the electric utility wholesale and retail markets is based.

Richard continues his work directing consulting and research activities in regulation, litigation, and asset evaluation in the electric power industry. He is a Fellow of the IEEE and a Member of the National Academy of Engineering. In 2022 he was the recipient of the Sylvanus Thayer Fellows award.

Biography:
William Voigt serves as a technical product manager at Amazon Robotics. Amazon Robotics, a subsidiary of Amazon.com Inc, empowers customer delivery through robotic automation. In this role, William oversees the lifecycle of Amazon Robotics' package sortation solution, from new product ideation through continuous improvement and keep-the-lights-on initiatives. Spanning numerous robotic and human process paths, the package sortation solution ensures customer orders arrive on time to the correct location.

Previous to Amazon Robotics, William spent eight years at Bose. As a new product manager within consumer electronics, William helped explore and define new business opportunities. Topics of exploration included consumer and enterprise augmented and virtual reality, the smart home, gaming, and spatial audio. Later, William helped establish a new business strategy role, serving as an internal consultant to customers across the company. Projects included redesigning Bose's R&D organization and automotive product portfolio, launching a new Esports category, and facilitating strategic risk and trend tracking discussions with Bose's C-suite and board of directors.

William holds a BA from Colby College in physics and philosophy, and a BE in mechanical engineering and an MEM from Dartmouth. William lives in Massachusetts with his wife and son.

Biography:
Trent Staats has spent his career developing and growing technology companies, primarily in the energy and Cleantech space. He is presently the President and Chief Operating Officer at CleanPlanet Chemical which serves manufacturing companies globally by providing equipment and services to enable chemical recycling at its point of use.

Prior to this he worked in senior positions at Verenium, a NASDAQ company providing solutions to the specialty enzyme and advanced biofuels markets and served as the chairman of the company’s joint-venture with BP. Earlier in his career, Dr. Staats founded Posita Technologies to serve the then nascent power trading industry with technology-sourced real-time data.

Dr. Staats is a graduate of Harvard Business School (MBA), and the University of Texas (PhD, MS, BS, BA). He lives in Hanover with his wife and daughters and is an avid participant in the variety of outdoor activities available in the Upper Valley.

Biography:
Today, I lead the digital transformation insertion effort for Space. In this role, I am collaborating with experts from each Lockheed Martin business area and across Space to make the company more agile and more competitive. I am leading change for Lockheed Martin by driving digital transformation, embracing agile management, and shaping the future by working across the enterprise to select innovative projects to maximize value at Space and our partner business areas. I effectively advocate for change by providing the technical and business cases to support change; forming and leading Space teams to communicate these benefits to target audiences.

I began my career developing a family of Al-Li alloys including 2195 used for the Space Shuttle External Tank (ET). Al-Li 2195 enabled completion of the ISS by transferring6,000 lbm from the ET structure to payload mass. I was awarded my first patent at this time for determining the mechanism of corrosion resistance in aged aluminum alloys.

After developing the Al-Li alloys for the External Tank I led the friction stir welding program and partnered with NASA to successfully implement friction stir welding for production of theSpace Shuttle ET.

I assisted in the return to flight activity for the External Tank by leading a team to discover the cause of the thermal protection system failure that led to the Shuttle Columbia accident. I then proved to experts from NASA and otherSME’s appointed to oversee the return to flight effort that, with process control and new nondestructive evaluation, the Space Shuttle was safe to return to flight.

When LM submitted our Orion proposal, I was asked by the proposal team to brief the NASA JSC SME’s on the risks associated with use of Al-Li alloys and friction stir welding for theOrion build. NASA cited the meeting with me as one of the discriminators in awarding the Orion program to LM.

I led material and process development for the Orion program and built the team that developed processes to build the space craft. My team developed noveljoining and composite build processes to meet the challenges of human spaceflight. Using uncertainty quantification methods, my team set the standard for what is possible with friction stir welding today. Today, the Orion team haswelded 6 entire shipsets with zero defects. This defect free welding accomplishment is unknown elsewhere in aerospace industry.

Over the course of my career, I regularly lead diverse teams to solve critical technical issues while intentionally developing my management skills. Myteams regularly outperform other teams at Lockheed Martin, even when my team is less experienced than other teams.

Will Fraizer has 40 years of experience in the international energy industry. His technical management positions include supervising engineering groups for major process plants, health, environment, and safety management for a global operating company, and leadership of feasibility studies and front-end engineering for major capital projects. He has also initiated and led technology development programs ranging from biomass conversion and alcohol fuels to natural gas processing and liquids production. He currently resides in Houston, Texas.

Biography:
Santiago currently serves as business analytics manager for Mikros Technologies, a local engineering company that designs state of the art microchannel liquid cooling systems for supercomputers, lasers, AI processors and other advanced technology systems. Santiago is responsible for designing and implementing systems and processes to aid data-driven decision-making for all levels at Mikros.

Following an internship in 2012, Santiago joined the Smurfit Kappa Group, Europe's leading corrugated packaging company and one of the leading paper-based packaging companies in the world, were he spent the first decade of his career. During his time at Smurfit Kappa, Santiago held different roles related to operations management and financial controlling, while leading restructuration and automation efforts for the company. He last served managing the Finance and Controlling department for one of the corrugated cardboard plants in Colombia. Santiago also serves the Dartmouth Admissions Ambassador Program and has been the District Enrollment Director for Colombia.

Santiago holds a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (Bogota, Colombia) and received his MEM degree from Dartmouth in 2019.

Biography:
Don Castle is the director for industry engagement for the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth, responsible for engaging companies to sponsor and advise engineering research and to sponsor engineering class projects. Don has held chief information officer roles at Nabisco International, Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices (1/3 of J&J), and two industrial B2B firms: SGS North America and Kimball Midwest. He also has general management experience as president of life science services at SGS NA, Group Brand Manager at Nabisco, and as chairman of the board of the nonprofit Inroads NY/NJ and the nonprofit New Life Community Outreach. He is an executive fellow at the Tuck Center for Digital Strategies at Dartmouth College.

Don has an AB in mathematics and MBA from Dartmouth.
