George Ehinger Jr. ’45 Th’45 passed away on April 21, 2013, in Wilton, Conn., at the age of 91. He was an engineer and vice president of Dorr-Oliver for 40 years. He joined Dorr-Oliver straight from Thayer and rose to group vice president, responsible for sales exceeding $100 million and more than 1,000 employees. Upon his retirement, co-workers recognized him with the following passage: “He set high ethical standards. He gave the company class. He led imaginatively. He challenged all to excel.” He became owner/president of Winslow Manufacturing in Wallingford, Conn., for 20 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn, in 1993 and by his companion Beth Fuller in 2011. He is survived by daughter Ruth and son-in-law Bill, son George III and daughter-in-law Tamie, son Richard, two grandchildren, and brothers Robert ’43, Paul, and Nelson ’52.
