About the Speaker

Anne Barr
Anne Barr ’83

Anne Barr ’83 is President and Co-Founder of Counterpoint Advisors. Anne brings more than 35 years of experience leading the utilization of technology to achieve strategic business goals.  She has worked in the healthcare, financial services, technology, and energy industries. Anne has expertise in digital transformation, corporate organization design, multi-billion dollar project deployment, and utilizing innovative technology like IoT for competitive advantage.

Previously, Anne served as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and VP Operational Integration for Sutter Health in the Bay Area. There she sponsored the deployment of “smarter technology” at two new multi-billion dollar hospitals in San Francisco. Additionally, she led the emerging diagnostic imaging service line to drive clinical efficiency and productivity.

Before joining Sutter Health, she was CIO at Washington Hospital Healthcare System and spent seven years prior to that at Kaiser Permanente as Business Information Officer responsible for IT services in Southern and Northern California divisions. In addition, Anne was a VP at Charles Schwab & Co., Inc., and an early employee of Cambridge Technology Partners.

Anne earned her bachelor’s degree from Dartmouth with a double major in Asian studies and engineering sciences, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.  

Jennifer Lamppa
Jennifer Lamppa, PhD, '08 Th'09 '13

Jennifer Lamppa '08 Th'09 '13 is a Director at Health Advances, a healthcare strategy consulting firm serving clients in the medical device/diagnostics, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and health services industries. She is passionate about healthcare and healthcare data, and about getting innovative treatments to the patients who need them.

In addition to Health Advances, she spent time as a Director of Data Sciences and Data Stewardship within Parexel’s Scientific Data Organization, a group focused on the identification and study of real-world healthcare data (RWD) from within the global CRO. 

Jennifer earned her PhD in biomedical engineering from Dartmouth. Jennifer owns a small, research-focused hazelnut farm in Norwich, Vermont. Outside of her passion for RWD, she is passionate about agriculture and local food systems.
