COMSOL Multiphysics Workshop

Wednesday, February 26, 2014, 1:00-4:00pm

MacLean 210

COMSOL Multiphysics is a numerical simulation software package based on the finite element method that is used to analyze a wide range of engineering problems, including structural mechanics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, acoustics, electromagnetics, and essentially any other field governed by partial differential equations. The software is particularly well suited to the solution of coupled problems.

A COMSOL engineer will lead attendees through a presentation of the fundamental workflow in COMSOL v4.4 with the demonstration of a typical multiphysics simulation example and presenting all phases of analysis from drawing or importing geometries to specifying the physics, meshing to solving and post-processing the results. A Q&A and hands-on exercise session will follow.
