Students engineered a viable and low cost solution to the global ventilator shortage using AutoLung. AutoLung is an open source ventilator for low-income countries that is differentiated by sophisticated software that allows for the use of simple, commodity hardware.

About the Speaker

Amit Mital

Amit is currently the CEO and Founder of Kernel Labs, a technology startup studio in Seattle WA. Previously, Amit served as Chief Technology officer and EVP at Symantec, and Corporate Vice President at Microsoft.

Amit has been involved with technology startups as an investor, advisor and board member for many years; notable investments include Redfin (first investor), OfferUp, ESentire, VaroMoney, TrustedKey (acquired by WorkDay), AppSheet (acquired by Google), (acquired by GE), Invincea (acquired by Sophos).
