Community Expectations Agreement for All Students

Date: August 7, 2020

From: Holly Wilkinson

Dear incoming and current Thayer Students,

As we prepare for the start of a new Fall term at Dartmouth, we are taking additional steps to ensure that we can reopen as safely as possible. Since March, the Dartmouth community came together in ways we never thought impossible in the face of unprecedented challenges, and with this new term, each of you will also play a critical role in keeping fellow students, our faculty, and the broader community healthy and safe.

As part of this effort, Dartmouth is requiring all students to sign the Community Expectations Form. We encourage you to review the expectations carefully and if you have any questions, please contact the Thayer Academic and Student Affairs Office (holly.wilkinson@dartmouth.edu or candace.s.potter@dartmouth.edu). Please sign the agreement as soon as possible, even if you are not yet in the Hanover area and/or you do not anticipate needing access to Dartmouth or Thayer facilities during the fall term.

In addition, we would like to reiterate important quarantine and testing information. These requirements may continue to evolve due to the changing health situation and guidance from the State and CDC. We will continue to send you any new information, as it becomes available. Please also monitor Dartmouth’s COVID-19 website for the most up-to-date information.

COVID Testing Information

Graduate/professional school students living off campus (including Sachem Village, South Street, and North Park apartments) who are newly arriving or returning to the Hanover area are asked to complete testing both on their arrival date (or as soon as a clinic is available) and seven days after their first test.

It is likely that Dartmouth will incorporate testing on Day Three for students arriving after September 1.

COVID Testing Clinics are located in a tent behind Dartmouth College Health Service (no appointment necessary for Thayer graduate students). Please also see FAQs on testing. More dates after August 21 to be added:
