Flow dynamics of soft materials

My research explores the rheology of soft materials: emulsions, polymer blends and biological suspensions. My studies combine theoretical analyses, numerical simulations and experiments to advance our understanding of the flow behavior of these complex fluids. I draw upon my background in engineering, chemistry, physics and applied mathematics to explore new research directions and develop an interdisciplinary research program.   Currently, I work on problems of cell micro-hydrodynamics and hydrodynamic interactions of surfactant—covered drops.

Deformation of a surfactant-covered drop in linear flows: the evolution equations
