Mohan’s research interests include issues of scale in environmental policy, air pollution modeling and regulation, environmental justice, environmental sustainability, and policy in developing countries.  During his doctoral studies at Georgia Tech, Mohan was a research assistant on projects funded by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and National Science Foundation (NSF).  Before coming to the U.S. for a Ph.D., Mohan worked for more than five years as an environmental management consultant in India in the areas of environmental impact assessment, environmental policy analysis, and hazardous waste management.

Apurva is pursuing a Ph.D. in the area of Decision Theory, Risk Assessment and Public Policy.  His dissertation will focus on evidence-based evaluation of environmental policies, with a particular emphasis on developing and demonstrating empirical methods for establishing the causal relations between management actions, natural influences, and environmental risk.
