From Military Post to The Hague in 1918

This letter was sent from the military post office traveling with the army on 7 May 1918 to The Hague in the Netherlands, where it arrived on 8 June.
It is worth comparing this cover with another censored cover from the military post to the same person in The Hague in 1918, probably a husband writing to his wife.

Characteristics:
  • Three Red Cross stamps: 1c+1c, 2c+2c and 5c+5c
    plus 2F definitive of 1915
  • Registered cover
  • Military censure 52
  • Cancel of arrival on the back
  • Handwritten correction to a numeric code on the front
  • Nice calligraphy and clean appearance
Estimated value: $108
[sold on delcampe.com in April 2004, value mostly attributed to the 2F stamp and military censure]
