This registered letter was sent from Sainte-Adresse (in France, where the Belgian government in exile during the German occupation had a provisional post office) on 5 March 1918 to a military person in Criel and was forwarded from there to Wulveringhem (in West Flanders, now spelled Wulveringem). Although there is no cancel of arrival, the fact that the letter was forwarded indicates that it did travel by mail.
