The purpose of this 5-part workshop series is to introduce graduate students and postdocs who are considering an academic career to teaching. Students will be exposed to educational literature and the elements of course design. They will also have a chance to practice teaching and to evaluate teaching by others. Participants are asked to attend all five sessions. (The last part takes more than 90 minutes, so it will either be one long day or 2 days.)

In the second session, the group as a whole will critique and evaluate draft materials produced by each participant. Dartmouth faculty will also join us for parts of this session to provide insights on the elements of a successful proposal in several different research areas.
