Engineering Sciences Minor or Major Modified with Engineering Sciences

Students can choose to modified any major with Engineering Sciences or to complement a major in another discipline with a minor in Engineering Sciences. For advice, contact the chair of Engineering Sciences, Professor Erland Schulson.

Course of Study

Prerequisites

Mathematics (2 courses)

  • MATH 3 Introduction to Calculus
  • MATH 8 Calculus of Functions of One and Several Variables

Physics (1 or 2 courses)

  • PHYS 13 Introductory Physics I (or PHYS 3-4)

Note: Many of the Engineering Sciences courses require prerequisites beyond MATH 8 and PHYS 13. No elective may be taken under the Non-Recording Option.

Electives (choose 3 courses)

  • Any engineering sciences undergraduate course numbered above ENGS 20 (excluding ENGS 80 and ENGS 87)

Academic Standing

Satisfactory completion of the minor requires a grade point average of 2.0 in the courses suitable for satisfying the minor.
