Partners in Innovation

Thayer School is engaged in a $60-million capital campaign to stimulate innovation in all reaches of the education enterprise. Part of Dartmouth's $1.3-billion Campaign for the Dartmouth Experience, the initiatives in Thayer's Partners in Innovation will enhance the student experience, advance research, and deepen Thayer School's impact on science, technology, and society.

Campaign Initiatives

  • MacLean Engineering Sciences Center
    Goal: $35.6 million
    Expansive state-of-the-art student project spaces, classrooms, meeting areas, offices, research laboratories, and information technology facilities.

  • Chairs and Faculty Support
    Goal: $6 million
    Boosting recruitment of world-class faculty and encouraging new approaches to teaching, curriculum development, and project-based learning.

  • Financial Aid
    Goal: $4 million
    Enabling students to pursue engineering beyond the A.B. level.

  • Technology and Liberal Education Fund
    Goal: $1 million
    Developing and refining technology courses and other programs for non-engineering majors to raise the technical literacy of all Dartmouth students.

  • Laboratory Fund
    Goal: $3 million
    Equipping instructional laboratories and computer-aided design facilities with the latest technology and staffing them with expert personnel.

  • Dean's Venture Fund
    Goal: $4 million
    Providing crucial early funding for promising student and faculty research, service projects, and entrepreneurial activities.

  • Thayer School Annual Fund
    Goal: $6.4 million
    Contributing to the health of Thayer School's operating budget—the foundation on which all innovation depends.
