Complex systems permeate technology in the 21st century. The goal is to analyze and design complex systems so that their behavior can be predicted and controlled. Dartmouth engineers are working together to meet the challenges of large, complex engineered systems such as computer networks, social networks, smart robots, living cells, energy infrastructure, and the near-Earth space environment.
