Tax Gas Now

Jay Buckey Jr., Professor of Medicine, Dartmouth Medical School

October 9, 2009

Abstract

Petroleum dependence is a major national security and climate change problem. Engineers can solve this problem, but they will require clear political and economic support to be successful. This talk will cover the national security and climate implications of petroleum dependence and discuss why a petroleum tax—starting with a price floor—offers the best solution.
