Special Symposia: A 3-part series

Thayer School is sponsoring three symposia, one for each of the School's three research focus areas that crosscut traditional engineering disciplines and address critical human needs:

• Dartmouth Energy Symposium (Fall 2007)
• Engineering in Medicine Symposium (October 16 & 17, 2008)
• Complex Systems Symposium (Spring 2009 tentative)

Each symposium will serve as the main event for a term-long focus on each area.

The Fall 2008 term will be focused on engineering in medicine featuring October's national symposium: Engineering in Universal Healthcare: Integrating Evidence-based Medicine, Cost-Effectiveness and Engineering Design; along with a series of medicine-related Jones Seminars.
