Special Symposia: A 3-part series

Thayer School sponsored three symposia, one for each of the School's three research focus areas that crosscut traditional engineering disciplines and address critical human needs:

• Dartmouth Energy Symposium (2007)
• Engineering in Medicine Symposium (2008)
• Complex Systems Symposium (2009)

Each symposium served as the main event for a term-long focus on each area.

The Fall 2009 term focused on complex systems and featured November's Complex Systems Symposium: Engineering Cooperative Networks, along with a series of complex-systems-related Jones Seminars.
