DFR is a student-run organization that designs and
builds a new racecar each year for the annual Formula SAE
competition in Pontiac, MI, and for the first time in 2004,
the Formula Student competition in England. The team itself
consists of 20 to 30 students, most of whom are studying engineering
sciences, but several who are not. A love for cars, a knack for creativity,
and a penchant for working hard is all that is required to become active
in the team. Much support comes in the form of advice and equipment
from the faculty and staff of Thayer School of Engineering, and the
machine shop has been an integral part of this guidance and aid from
the very beginning.

DFR Web site to find out more about
the DFR team and the latest news
on this year's car.
