Morgan G-55T Press

The machine shop polymer processing facility is equipped with a Morgan Model G 55T Injection Molding Press. The injection molding process is useful for creating shapes in a wide variety of thermo plastics. Molds can be CNC machined from aluminum, or they can be cast in thermosetting plastic using a sample part as the pattern. Its design was especially developed to make injection molding of thermoplastic parts practical and economical in the quantities required for prototyping and low-volume production.
