Sensitive Drilling Machine
|
This is a small manually operated drill press designed for drilling
small holes, usually less than 1/2 inch in diameter. The name
'sensitive' is used because the machinist can 'feel' the action of the
drill point as it goes into the work. This drill operates at much
higher speeds then the upright drilling machine and should only be used
with small drills. The travel of the spindle is also limited so
the table must be adjusted so parts are relatively close to the drill.
