Clare Boothe Luce Graduate Fellowships

Through a generous grant from the Henry Luce Foundation, the Clare Boothe Luce Graduate Fellowships Program will support two women in their first two years of study in Thayer School's Ph.D. Innovation Program, beginning with the 2010-11 academic year. Students from all engineering disciplines as well as the related sciences are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be U.S. citizens.

Each Fellow will receive:

  • Tuition for the first two years of graduate study
  • Over $20,000 in stipend and fees for each academic year
  • A research allowance of $3,000 each year
  • Individualized mentorship

Within Thayer School's single unified department of engineering sciences, students will work with their advisor and mentors to create a customized course plan adapted to each student's background and future plans.

Innovation Program students are eligible for support from Thayer School in their final three years of research that will free them from the constraints of federally funded research grants.
