"The faculty are willing to help students with problems, regardless of whether or not the student is a part of their lab. This willingness to help goes as far as letting students that are not part of the lab have access to lab equipment, or taking the time to explain concepts to students."

Faculty

Exceptional teachers; exceptional engineers

Devoted teachers and scholars, Thayer School faculty engage both undergraduate and graduate students in learning to investigate, analyze, innovate, and communicate.

"Along with world-class research, what sets our faculty apart is their emphasis on teaching our students—both in the laboratory and in the classroom—to use technology to make a difference by solving the real and pressing problems that affect society every day."
—Joe Helble, Dean
