I will discuss the simulation of electromagnetic ion cyclotron (EMIC) waves. Two dimensional simulations will use a hybrid code with particle ions and fluid electrons. The evolution of wave power, spatial distribution, and polarization will be described. I will also show how these waves modify the pitch angle distribution of the ring current population, and how they lead to precipitation (loss to the ionosphere) of ring current and radiation belt particles.
