Information for 2013 Graduates
Investiture Ceremony
Caps, gowns, and hoods for B.E., M.E.M., and M.S. candidates should be pre-ordered online. PLEASE NOTE: The deadline to order is April 29, 2013. The cost for B.E. regalia is $20, for Masters, $27, and can be paid with a credit card at the time of order. Cap and gown pick up will be on June 6 and 7, 2013 from 9:00am-4:00pm in Paganucci Lounge, 1953 Commons, and hoods will be distributed at Investiture. There will also be a full variety of gowns available for those who do not pre-order, but payment will be cash only. The caps and gowns are recyclable and if you do not plan to keep them, you can recycle them in one of the regalia recycling containers located at Thayer School, Tuck School, Collis, or on the Green. If you have a black cap and gown from your undergraduate graduation, it is fine to use that, and you do not need to place an order for the hood, Thayer School will place the order. It is important that all Thayer School students have their regalia by 4:30pm on Friday, June 7, as our Investiture Ceremony is on Saturday morning at 10:00am.
Doctoral candidates will receive information from Dartmouth Graduate Studies on how to order regalia and where to pick it up.
On Saturday, June 8 students must assemble promptly at 9:15am in the Faulkner Auditorium in the Hopkins Center. Caps and gowns should be worn with appropriate attire at the Investiture ceremony.
Commencement Exercises
Dartmouth Commencement exercises will be held on Sunday, June 9. Thayer School students should assemble in front of Wentworth Hall promptly at 9:00am. In the event of rain, Thayer students will gather inside of Dartmouth Hall. Caps, gowns, and hoods should be worn with the proper attire. The Academic Procession is at 9:30am; Commencement begins at 10:00am. For A.B./B.E. students, you will process in with the senior class; hence you will assemble in Leede Arena.
