Emerging Threats Conference Participant Bios

Paul B. Roth, M.D.

Dr. Paul Roth has held the position of Dean, UNM - School of Medicine and Associate Vice President for Clinical Affairs since 1995 after serving in an interim position the preceding year. Leading up to his Dean position, Dr. Roth held various high level positions at UNM ñ School of Medicine and Medical Center to include Chair of the Department of Emergency Medicine, Director of Ambulatory Care Program and Chief Medical Officer. Since 1990, he has also served as Director of the Center for Disaster Medicine at UNM - School of Medicine. He is a Fellow in both the American Academy of Family Practice and the American College of Emergency Physicians. Dr. Roth graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. with an M.D. in 1976 and completed his Family Practice Residency in 1979 at UNM - School of Medicine. He completed a B.S. in 1969 and his M.S. - Biology in 1972, both at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, New Jersey. Dr. Roth and his wife, Erin, have two daughters, Rachel and Jordan.
