DCCNE Employment Opportunities

Alliance Employment Opportunities

Multiple postdoctoral positions are available immediately in the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of Colorado, Boulder. These positions will focus on creating stimulus-responsive organic-inorganic droplets, bubbles, and nanoparticles for imaging, sensing, drug delivery, biomaterials, and surface science applications.

For one position, the applicant must have expertise with macromolecular synthesis (step-wise or chain-growth), processing, assembly, and characterization. Experience with Langmuir-Blodgett, optical/fluorescence microscopy, AFM, electron microscopy, DSC, and other surface and interfacial characterization techniques would be a plus.

For the other position, the applicant must have experience with animal cancer imaging models, contrast-enhanced imaging, in vitro assays, nanoparticle contrast agents (quantum dots, ultrasmall iron oxide, etc.), and handling of biomolecules such as antibodies, peptides, nucleic acids, and proteins. Experience with polymers, bioconjugation, drug delivery, and ultrasound a plus.

Interested candidates should email Prof. Andrew Goodwin at andrew.goodwin@colorado.edu. Please send a full CV and the names and contact information for three references.

Career Opportunities at the NCI Nanotechnology Characterization Laboratory (NCL)

The Nanotechnology Characterization Laboratory (NCL) performs and standardizes the pre-clinical characterization of nanomaterials intended for cancer therapeutics and diagnostics developed by researchers from academia, government, and industry.
