Winner of Google's "Innovate or Die" contest, this pedal-powered vehicle transports, filters, and stores water. Brian Mason Th'05, an engineer at IDEO, designed it for use in developing nations. "This project felt like ENGS 21 [Introduction to Engineering], but in the real world," he says.
"I attribute my eventual success largely to my Thayer School education, including that first ENGS 21 course, which gave me my first taste of building a prototype and taking technology from the lab to the marketplace."
