About Me: "I have always been self-motivated and ambitious: I don't really know how to work other than hard. However, I do my best to balance these tendencies with an adequate amount of laughter."
Why I Chose the M.E.M.: "After completing my undergraduate degree, I worked for two years in the field of environmental remediation and regulatory compliance. For one year I worked with my father, who is a chemical engineer and an entrepreneur; from him I learned a great deal about running a company and the challenges faced by small business owners.
"However, I felt the need for a more advanced degree to equip myself for a management level career, one that would emphasize both technical and managerial aspects of engineering challenges. I came to the M.E.M. program to gain a versatile set of business skills and knowledge that would help me to advance in my career. I was also particularly interested in the engineering classes available for the Energy and Environment track within the M.E.M. program. I intended to use the M.E.M. experience as a point of departure to branch into the field of energy consulting.
"As a New England native, I was drawn to Dartmouth because of its location and the advantage it would give me for job placement after graduation. I was also interested in the mentoring resources of the Corporate Collaboration Council and in adding Dartmouth alumni to my professional network."
